In October 2013 we (David 28 and Beate 27) were on our way to Sicily to go climbing, enjoying the sun, landscape and the delicious Sicilian food. Before taking the plane we stopped at a salesman for taking a look at a red VW LT 28 bus we saw on the internet - The vehicle for our vision- The sun was shining, we were enthusiastic and after a short test drive the choice was done... it is a bus to fall in love with.
During our vacation we were dreaming about our idea and one month later.... we went hitchhiking to the salesman to buy the bus. And the first step was done!
After that a period of constructing, building and planning started. There was lots to do, before leaving Leeuwarden....The summer came, the bus assumed shape and also our vision. Our idea is namely to travel around for an unknown period of time and leaving family, friends and work behind to live on four wheels.
A dream which comes true, full of adventure, various countries, cultures and people and at last a lot of sports. We love climbing, hiking, camping, being in the nature and living a simple live. overall we are open for sundry things which are on our way. We are travelling around Europe and North- Africa, we follow the sun, our intuition and the hints of locals. Beside doing sports, we want to get to know the culture and history of the area we visit.
When we are asked why we are doing this it is sometimes hard to find a persuasive answer, but in our minds we have it clear:
Discovering a new way of live, being off of the daily life combined with a huge feeling of freedom and desire in adventure with as less as possible money. Of course without it is hardly possible and thats why we want to work during our trip.
