In November we visited David’s sister, friend and new born baby Mascha Kaya in Ulm.
Surprisingly two friends Max and Andi came along after their vacation in Italy. We camped with them two days, made some smaller hikes and played and cooked in our bus. This was even the first real use of our wood stove- just fantastic! We had a great time with them!
End of November our work at the Christmas market started, so we went to Munich. The first days we were busy building up the market stand in Munich. Beate stayed most of the time there whereas David went to Bad Tölz, building up the other one and working there. The Christmas time was quite intensive, full of work and our first Christmas without family.
But there was no reason of being sad... Christmas eve was fantastic! We got to know Uwe, a guy is living in a huge Deutz Magirus- It felt as if knowing him sinds years and with him we hiked up to the Sonntraten alm. We enjoyed the calm and peace up there, watching into the sky and having a great panorama over Bad Tölz. Making a huge fire and cooking on it was also a lot of fun.
After Christmas David’s whole family visited us in Bad Tölz. Thanks for coming! This was very lovely! The winter onset- it was snowing a lot and so we could go sledding. The piste was steep, we got quite fast with the sledge and had a lot of fun! We enjoyed being together. Unfortunately the snow made it very hard for them to travel back.... so their return by train took much longer than thought.
The last days in December we slept in our bus, making a lot of fire in our stove and enjoyed its warmth. We had a great spot for our bus, in the middle of the nature and all around us was snow.
The Christmas market ended at 31 of December and after that we visited Patti at the Tegernsee. We stayed there for some more days went hiking to the Wallberg and had a traditional Bavarian breakfast with “Weisswurst, Brezel” and Beer. It was great to see Patti and I am looking forward to see her in Barcelona again!
Having such a great pleasure with Uwe we were searching for him in Munich and finally we found him and his bus. We stayed there for some hours, saying goodbye and hopefully we will see him again!
Before leaving Germany we went once again to Beate´s Mum and family, relaxing some more days and then setting forth to Switzerland visiting Niclas in Basel and David’s grandma and godmother in Zürich. In Basel we had a great welcome and traditional fondue diner. It was very tasty and we played until late night “Wizard” and “Meyer” with Niclas and friends.
