September; October:
Since two months we are on the road and are looking back to our time in Leeuwarden with a warm feeling… We are enjoying a lot our earned freedom… time and days count less, and we can follow our heart and intuition. Our first stop was Benzin, David´s parents are living there at an old farm. There we finished the last projects of the bus… the oven is working now and we are not afraid of the cold winter days. The place is kind of magic, quiet and offers a lot of inspiration for further projects…. Building a loam oven e.g. Most of the time we stayed outside, fishing, making fire, harvesting fruits, biking and especially enjoying the warm and sunny autumn days.
During our stay we made some smaller trips to Stralsund; Berlin and Rostock. After nearly 5 weeks recreational time in Benzin we went to Magdeburg visiting Tobi&Lari and their new born baby Mila- cooking in the bus and making small excursions were no problems because of a very chilled baby and parents!
Our next stop was Leipzig visiting Stefan, Hannes and Max. This city is booming- a lot of young people, possibilities and a great atmosphere…. A real insider! Hanging around, making a canoe tour and playing ping pong in a bar was assume! And if you want to have some beautiful self-made “sandaals” you must go to Stefan at the Sachsen bridge…
Afterwards we went to Kulmbach, surprising Beate´s mum. The region is marked by forests and a hill area. So we went hiking and enjoyed the nature and the great view at the Plassenburg.
We love good and healthy food and already had a lot of assume meals in the bus, on the oven, in the tajine…. And because of our passion we want to share some of those recipes, so check out our food column!
